OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Come to my aid, O God. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Almighty God, Father of mercies and giver of all good gifts, I come before you to honor you in your Saints and to ask their help in my many needs.
You promised those who ask, would receive, those who seek, would find, those who knock, would have doors opened to them.
Hear the prayers of your church, grant my requests, and pardon my sins. Amen.

Mary, most holy Mother of Jesus, your Son came among us as a servant. You stood beside Him as He freed us from sin. By your prayers bring freedom to all unjustly deprived of their liberty.
Guard your people from all hatred and violence and direct their hearts in the ways of peace and justice. I humbly ask you to obtain my request.
By your example grant us the grace to stand by our brothers and sisters enchained by their conquerors, accept our prayers in Jesus’ name. May harmony and justice reign in our hearts and bring us lasting peace. Amen.

DAY 1
Holy Mary,
God gave you a heart of deep faith to believe in the word spoken in our heart.

DAY 2
Holy Mary, God called you to a life of quiet simplicity, involved in the everyday sound of home and family. Pray for us that we may believe that our ordinary lives can be holy and a blessing for others.

DAY 3
Holy Mary, God created you as a woman of peace and hope for our world. Pray for us that we may find peace in our own hearts by listening to God’s word and living it.

DAY 4
Holy Mary, God opened your heart as you kept the word and pondered it in your being. Pray for us that we may be instruments of peace in our families and neighborhood.

Day 5
Holy Mary, your responses to God, “be it done to me according to your word,” has echoed down the ages. Pray for us, and for all who work for peace in our time.

DAY 6
Holy Mary, you once said to waiters at a family wedding: Do whatever He tells you, and a miracle happened. Pray for us that we may learn to trust God’s presence and power in our lives.

DAY 7
Holy Mary, you once stood at Calvary in solidarity with the sinners and broken people of the world for whom your only son died. Pray for us.

DAY 8
Holy Mary, God gave you to the world as a great sign. Pray for us that we may courageously embrace a life of prayer and involvement with God’s desire for the world.

Day 9
Holy Mary,
God forms you in your lifetime to a heart of compassion. Pray for us that we may grow fully in merciful understanding to the suffering of others in families, in our workplace.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

To conclude this novena, say one our Father, one Hail Mary and one Glory Be.
